S355JR is a carbon steel plate available As Rolled (AR) or Normalised (N)
This steel is typically used for a structural application like bridge components and components for offshore structures.
It is used to manufacture mining, earthmoving, load handling, wind towers and power plant equipment components.
S355JR plate comes As Rolled or Normalised, containing 0.24% and 0.2% carbon, respectively. We supply materials of 6mm and thicker with dimensional tolerances according to EN 10029 standards. Tolerances will keep to “Class A: standards when not specified otherwise. Materials produced in the hot strip mill conform to EN 10051 tolerance specifications. It is weldable and machinable.

S355J2 is a steel plate with carbon and manganese content lower than many other steel products.
This steel is a general-purpose steel fabrication product with a wide variety of uses, even at low temperatures.
S355J2 is a low alloy, high strength structural steel product available in thick variations. It has good machinability properties.
It is a versatile, high-performance steel plate product that can be supplied in thicknesses up to 400mm. It performs well even at low temperatures and is inspection certified for EN 10204.3.1 B.

Mild Steel plate is a versatile carbon steel plate product.
We use this steel plate for structural steelwork like bridge components and components for offshore structures. It is used to manufacture mining, earthmoving, load handling, wind towers and power plant equipment components.
Mild steel plate typically contains a higher percentage of Carbon and Manganese. Materials of 6mm and thicker are supplied with dimensional tolerances according to EN 10029 standards. Tolerances will keep to “Class A: standards when not specified otherwise. Materials produced in the hot strip mill conform to EN 10051 tolerance specifications.
It is weldable and machinable. The mild steel plate has good elongation properties, yield strength and tensile strength.

Bennox plate is an abrasion and wear resistant carbon steel product sometimes referred to as “wear plate”.
This steel is used for hard wearing applications making scraper blades which are best mounted by drilling and bolting and especially in applications where more sophisticated steel products are not justified.
Bennox plate is shearable in thicknesses up to 25mm and one can punch through plates up to 12mm’s thick provided that the tools are correctly set and is kept sharp.
It is abrasion resistant but has poor weldability because of a higher carbon content.

NM400 steel plate is an abrasion resistant steel plate product that is delivered in a quenched and tempered state.
This steel is typically used to manufacture earthmoving and mining equipment, conveyor bucket wear plates, liners for chutes, bins and hoppers, mixer blades and scrapers and components for draglines.
NM400 steel plate is weldable provided that low hydrogen electrodes are used to prevent cracking in areas affected by the heat.
It is abrasion resistant. It is delivered in a quenched and tempered condition with thickness tolerances complying to EN10029D standards.
